She approaches her work with clients with compassion, empathy, and careful consideration of their past traumas, unmet needs, and lingering emotional wounds that may be contributing to their current concerns.
Ms. Gigi has worked with adults experiencing substance use and addiction-related issues, trauma and trauma-related disorders, anxiety, emotional turmoil and mood disorders, grief and loss, and eating disorders. She has also worked with couples and families. In her practice, Gigi utilizes an integrative approach, meaning she draws from more than one psychological theory and utilizes a range of counseling skills including Cognitive-Behavioral approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Humanistic therapy. She tailors her approach to meet clients where they are now and to support them in getting to where they want to be.
