Ms. Jess McClain is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (license #IMH21174). Ms. Jess has experience working with children, teens, and adults using evidence-based interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy (SFT). Ms. Jess excels with helping clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, panic disorders, trauma, PTSD, military issues, and substance abuse issues.
Ms. Jess views therapy as an interactive, collaborative process between counselor and client. She is a caring and compassionate clinician who is deeply committed to seeing her clients achieve and maintain positive growth so that they can change in their lives in a positive direction. In addition to helping clients, Ms. Jess teaches clients how to control their emotions, behaviors, and thoughts while identifying and building upon the client’s existing strengths.
Ms. Jess graduated from Wake Forest University with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
