Coming out of Quarantine
Quarantine: It looks like the folks in the Unites States are going to start coming out of Quarantine. We have all been affected by Covid-19; this pandemic has changed our lives. Many of us have lost our jobs or even lost people we loved during this pandemic. Because of Quarantine, many of us became teachers over night for our children. Many of found ourselves living as we never imagined we would live. Many of us have experienced feelings of anxiety, depression, hopelessness, fear, worry, and absorbent amounts of stress. These emotions and feelings get very dangerous when they do not decrease or they are affecting your everyday life.
As we come out of quarantine, I envision most a lot of us are going to ask ourselves…
“What the heck just happened!”
I think its going to take time to trust life again and to feel stable and in control. I want to normalize these feelings for you. If you are feeling unsure, its okay but work your way back to feeling good and secure. The healthier we are mentally, the healthier we can handle life events.
Here are 5 musts to help you survive coming out of quarantine…
If you lost your job, pound the pavement, apply to as many jobs as you can. Tell everyone you know you need a job. It will happen! It might not be your dream job at first but any money is better than no money! Hustlers prevail!
If you are at home with your kids all day and that is not norm for you or even if it is, you must find an hour a day when you can have time for yourself. So if that means you have to get up at 5am instead of 6am, do it! You deserve your time!
Exercise, run, walk, hike, swim, bike, and so on! Get Active! Get outside!
DECREASE your involvement when it comes to watching the NEWS or engaging in SOCIAL MEDIA. These two things will take you down a rabbit hole of negativity and spin your thoughts. They are fear-mongering entities with a lot of people stating their opinions, not facts. This alone will make you feel better in just a few days!
